Willem-Jan Scherpenisse ( 1955-2021) started working in the port of Rotterdam as a young boy and worked his way up. Eventually he established his own company Transway Holland (in 1986), as a freight forwarder in the Port of Rotterdam. Economically perfectly based in the Gateway to Europe, Rotterdam and close to Antwerp.
Over the years he build a large network of good relationships with agents all over the world but especially in Asia. Over the years the name(s) changed and since 2014 WiSch Enterprise Forwarding & Logistics has expanded to position itself as a premier logistic operator.

At the beginning of 2021 we moved our company (and private life) to Groningen, the quieter region of the Netherlands.  Plans were made, a new office was rented, and our son Joey also moved to Groningen with the intention of running the company together with Willem-Jan. Slowly, Joey would take over the company.

Unfortunately, Willem-Jan passed away suddenly, which turned our world upside down. Although he has not been able to enjoy our new environment long enough and even though it was a very difficult and emotional period for us, we focused on the company, our agents, and our customers. In recent months we have worked hard on the necessary expansion, which made it possible for us to continue Willem-Jan’s life’s work with a fine working team.

The new team is in place, growing and we feel confident about the business.
